A Quiet Monday

I got to play a bit with Annie alone while Leia Rose got something special ready upstairs. So we played with the busybox and the ball . . .

And playing with her squishy farm animals is also a real favorite. I always sing "Old MacDonald had a Farm" as Annie picks up different animals to chew on. It's one of our favorite Mamma/Annie games.

Then Leia Rose invited us upstairs to see "The Strawberry Shortcake Show." When Leia calls something a "show," it means that we can't play it with her, . . . just watch. Here are the Strawberry Shortcake dolls sleeping in their "house." This was most exciting for Leia today because I don't usually allow her to play with the dolls' shoes/undergarments/socks because they are too small and can get lost too easily (and Annie can swallow them). So she was told she could only play with them in our room on special days.

Here is Annie in her favorite Bumper Jumper watching "The Strawberry Shortcake Show."

And to help us feel more included, Leia Rose let us have the plastic strawberry ice cream from the set, . . . and Annie and I played "Ice Cream Bite." That really made her laugh!
