This year, the whole Oberlies family was dressed as circus folk! A Clown (Hollis), a Ringmaster (Nick), a Monkey (Declan), and a Tightrope Walker (Jessica).
Here are the girls getting ready to paint some pumpkins. And, yes, you see TWO Dorothys!!! : )
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe that this was the very first time that Annie has played in the sand. She was very interested, . . . and she took three mouthfuls, too. Yuck!

And here's Sophia as a beautiful Fairy Princess.
There's a story behind this picture. On Leia's birthday when we went out to lunch and to the toy store with Hollis and family, Jessica kept talking about walking out to the car while holding her umbrella over Leia Rose. (It was raining, of course.) Jessica obviously had cemented the image in her mind because she was quite upset when it was thwarted by our cars being located in different areas. Anyway, I told her that since she was going to be a Tightrope Walker for Halloween (sometimes those recital costumes come in handy, don't they?), why didn't she be sure to hold the umbrella over Leia Rose for part of the party? That, my friends, is what she's doing here.
Now that's what I call a worn-out Toto!!! : )
