Neighborhood Giving Day 2007

I have always hoped that our children would find that giving more of a joy than receiving at Christmastime. Well, I can't say that we've been totally successful in that regard, but perhaps days like today (and tomorrow too) will stick with them for life. : ) Today was our Neighborhood Giving Day 2007. That simply means that we package and deliver all of the goodies that we made all last week and give them (along with cards) to our neighbors. Most of our neighbors aren't home during the day, so we end up putting them in mailboxes, . . . but there are a few we gave in person, like the O'Gradys. I have wonderful memories of doing the same thing for the Baileys around the block, . . . I hope Leia Rose and Annie are making some new memories of their own here.
