Quirky Leia

This is how Leia Rose came home from school today. *sigh* They really do keep it too hot in there in the winter. (Got to let them talk to Grandpa for just five minutes, he'd set them straight. A cooler temperature would mean a lot less germs spread, I'm sure.) Anyway, Leia Rose was way too hot! So, she rolled her sleeves all the way up, she roller her pants all the way up, unbuttoned a button, and took her socks off. This is not even to mention the huge scrape across her left eye where some kid hit her with a shovel (by accident). Yikes!
When she got home, Leia really wanted to make some "snow" with the "snow-cone maker." (Well, what she really kept saying was "snow" with the "popcorn maker," so we did have a fun laugh about that.) She wanted to have her dinosaurs play in the snow. And what did I say? Why not?
Tonight's dinner game really reminded me of Leia's good friend, Shenandoah, who's favorite game is the one where you give an expression for different words/phrases/happenings. Well, ironically, our one tonight was to look at the pictures and tell which items looked the same. I don't know how it turned into this, but . . .
Somehow we got into making faces according to how a person felt about different foods. This one is cheese popcorn. (That's because Oma and Papa sent a really fun snack package from the Popcorn Factory that contained cheese popcorn as one of Leia's favorites.)
This one is peppermint jelly beans. ("Too spicy.")
Rice. (How can a kid not like rice, I ask you?!? Well, this one doesn't.)
Chocolate balls!
One more cute thing, we keep calling our new nighttime itinerary her new "nighttime ritual" to which she always corrects me, "No, Mom, it's my individual." Ha! : )

Insert pics of Harvest Wolf. I am in tears. What a beautiful gift this blog is for your girls. My favorite answer at this age, "why not?".
