Unfortunatley, I plugged the camera in to import the photos and video from later today and it said I needed to format the disk, for some reason (perhaps because of the big "splashdown" a few weeks ago?). Anyway, formatting the disk erased everything on it. Lost a few beauties, but I'll tell you about them.
First, "crawling update." Today Annie did learn to get on her knees! She didn't really crawl, but she did do a lot of rocking (which is supposed to immediately precede crawling). When she moved forward, she still preferred to flop on her tummy.
Second, "smash down." You know the Minnie Mouse Jingle Bell Necklace that Annie loves so much? Well, she went for it again today. It's always hanging on one of the little table chairs. Well, Annie sidled over there and pulled on it, but pulled the chair down with it, . . . right on her face. She scraped her arm and has two strange red welts right on the left side of her forehead. Sorry, I couldn't get there fast enough, sweet Annie.
Third, "palm tree." At dinner tonight Annie was having exactly the same as us: chicken, stuffing, and broccoli. Well, she ate it all by hand of course, and she loved the broccoli. She loved it so much, in fact, that it was all over her face and hands (and hair). Leia took one look and said, "Annie, you look like a palm tree!"
Fourth, right before bath time (just as I turned on the water) I took the best picture of the day: Annie signing "water." She does this by putting her right pointer finger in her mouth. She did the sign and looked up at the camera with a big smile. So cute!
