Heidi's Birthday Party +

Today was Heidi's fourth birthday party complete with a bouncehouse and swimming pool! We had lots of fun, . . . especially because today gave us a bit of a break from the heat in that it was only in the low 80s and overcast, . . . instead of 104 like it was the last few days.

Leia Rose and Annie had fun bouncing in the bounce house, . . .

But Annie didn't really know what was going on. She was happy to explore her drool and spit drips on the new surface, though. Eeeewww! : )

Leia and Heidi also spent some time playing with Annie on the special baby play mat with all of Heidi's old baby toys.

And we learned some exciting news today, . . . Heidi's going to be a big sister! Emily is due in March! (Annie will have a friend!)

At one point I turned and saw a beautiful princess walking down the stairs!

But when Leia Rose sat for a half an hour for lunch, we knew something was wrong. I did notice she was a bit lethargic before we left, and she became more so during the party. Sure enough, I felt her and she felt very hot.

We did get to stay to sing "Happy Birthday," eat cake, and watch Heidi open Leia's gift of floam critters, but then we really needed to get Leia home. Isn't it a cool idea to have tiered cupcakes with a number 4 candle?

But as soon as we got home and I took Leia's temperature, she lay down on the floor to watch Zoboomafoo, . . . with a temp of 102.5 Yikes! No going out to dinner for Leia tonight and no church tomorrow, either. Thank God for Tylenol!
