Neighbors & Dinners

Here's Annie with our neighbor, Kelly Revels. Brian went next door on a whim to tell them about our well issues. (And ironically, Clay had the same guy work on his well when it got struck by lighting a few years ago.) Anyway, the girls and I saw Daddy talking over there and decided to join him. Annie got a bit restless, and so Kelly started reading to her. Annie is always captivated during reading time. : ) The cool thing is that Annie is actually wearing an outfit that used to be Bailey's (Kelly's daughter). She gave it to us for Leia, and now Annie's wearing it, too! That brought a bit of nostalgia back into the afternoon for the Revels.

And Leia Rose played on some of those 660 million year old rocks with Bailey and Colin.

But all Annie really wanted to do was to pick and eat grass, . . .

. . . But I still love her anyway. : )

Then at dinner (we went to Torrero's, the local Mexican restaurant) Annie had her first chip. Don't ever let an eleven-month-old have a corn chip. She did have few minor choking episodes until we took it away. Looks like it's back to cheerios for Annie.

Leia Rose was very proud of the fish she drew that was "making a fishy face."

And then she made a smiling birdie!

Back at home, we've taken to letting Leia Rose ride her tricycle in the house for fun. (I'm actually not quite sure why most parents outlaw that, . . . I guess most kids aren't as careful as Leia around furniture.)

Since Leia's not really an "outside girl," this is a good way for her to get her exercise.
