Annie signed "bird" today! (It looks a lot like "bye-bye," but still!) : ) Its one of our favorite things to watch the birds while we eat breakfast and lunch (when we're not eating on the sunporch, that is). And it was extra exciting to watch her communicate with sign! (And you'll also notice that Annie has graduated from eating on the tray / suction cup bowl to eating out of our handy-dandy 4-sectioned heavy dishes!)
Then when I put her down on the floor to open her window during book-reading time, she crawled right over to the book shelf, got out a book and signed "book"! (It looks a lot like one single clap, but still!) : ) Yet another first! Yay!
Annie also said her name last night at dinner, . . . it sounded just like this, "Ahhhhh - Neeeee!" It was so incredibly cool!
Finally, while we were bikriding today and we went down the really big hill near the end, Annie waited until we slowed and then said, "Down!" So exciting!
